1997-09 Adopts National Electric Code•
ORDINANCE NO. 9-97
AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM
BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING SECTION 11-11 OF ARTICLE II., ELECTRICAL
CODE, OF CHAPTER 11 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE VILLAGE
ADOPTING THE NATIONAL ELECTRIC CODE, 1996 EDITION, AND PALM BEACH
COUNTYWIDE AMENDMENTS THERETO; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY;
PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES
IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND, PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. Section 11-11 of Article II., Electrical Code
of Chapter 11 of the Code of Ordinances of the Village is hereby
amended to read as follows:
"The National Electric Code, 1996 edition, and the Palm
Beach Countywide Amendments thereto, and The Model
Countywide Administrative Code, 1994 edition, for the
building, electric, gas, mechanical and plumbing
codes; all of which have been reviewed by the building
code advisory board of the county, are hereby adopted and
incorporated herein, as part of the minimum construction
standards for the Village."
Section 2. If any section, paragraph, sentence, clause,
phrase or word of this Ordinance is for any reason held by a Court
to be unconstitutional, inoperative or void, suc}: holding shall not
affect the remainder of this Ordinance.
Section 3. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in

conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately
upon passage.
