A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
PURCHASE OF THREE UNMARKED 2013 FORD POLICE INTERCEPTOR
VEHICLES AND ONE MARKED 2013 FORD POLICE SPORT UTILITY
VEHICLE PURSUANT THE STATE TERM CONTRACT FOR THE
ACQUISITION OF MOTOR VEHICLES; AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
THE MAYOR AND VILLAGE CLERK TO AMEND THE CAPITAL
PROJECTS FUND BUDGET TO TRANSFER $115,510.00 FROM THE
CAPITAL RESERVE ACCOUNT TO THE POLICE AUTOMOTIVE CAPITAL
ACCOUNT TO FUND THE PURCHASE; DECLARING SPECIFIED
VEHICLES AS SURPLUS PROPERTY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Police Department is requesting the purchase of four vehicles as listed on the
five year Capital Improvement Plan ( "CIP ") utilizing CIP funds; and
WHEREAS, Village Administration recommends the purchase of three 2013 unmarked Ford
Police Interceptor vehicles and one marked 2013 Ford Sport Utility Vehicle, each fully equipped
in accordance with Village specifications, pursuant to State Term Contract No. 071 - 000 -13 -1
(Acquisition of Motor Vehicles); and
WHEREAS, the Village Council seeks to amend the current capital projects fund budget to
transfer $115,510.00 from the Capital Reserve Account to the Police Automotive Capital
Account to fund the purchase of the vehicles; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council wishes to declare two existing vehicles as surplus property and
authorize their disposal; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the adoption of this Resolution is in the best
interests of the Village and its residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby approves the purchase of three unmarked 2013 Ford
Police Interceptor vehicles and one marked 2013 Ford Sport Utility Vehicle, each fully equipped
to Village specifications, from Duval Ford pursuant to State Term Contract No. 071 - 000 -13 -1
(Acquisition of Motor Vehicles). The total amount expended for these vehicles shall not exceed
$115,510.00, with funds being expended from Account No. K5711 -66410 (Police Automotive Capital).

Section 3. In order to fund this expenditure, the Village Council hereby approves a budget
amendment for the transfer of funds as indicated below:

Section 4. The Mayor and Village Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute the
budget amendment for and on behalf of the Village of North Palm Beach.
Section 5. Upon delivery, acceptance and placement into service of the new vehicles, the
Village Council declares the following vehicles as surplus property and authorizes their disposal
in accordance with Village policies and procedures:

Section 6. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
