MINUTES OF SPECIAL WORKSHOP
OF THE
VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA
HELD THURSDAY, APRIL 22, 1993

ROLL CALL
Mayor Marks called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. All members
of Council were present. Village Manager Dennis Kelly and Public
Services Director Charles O'Meilia were also present.
The purpose of the meeting was to continue discussion of Council
goals for the 1993-94 Fiscal Year. A review was made of goals
already established at a prior goal-setting session.
Discussion was held concerning receipt of $108,665 from the
Disability Trust Fund and the use of it in the current year for
Village beautification projects, which includes slurry seal, north
county Public Safety substation, and the space study. It was agreed
by the majority of Council to place this on the Special Meeting
agenda of May 3, 1993.
The Council also discussed a contingency contract on the Schwenke
property.
Beautification of Village Hall was also discussed, specifically the
painting of the shutters or replacements, air conditioning, and
signs for Village Hall and the Community Center.
Potential annexations of Portage Landing and Hidden Key were
discussed.
President Pro Tem Atwater presented his list of goals, as follows:

Plans for a pay classification plan was discussed.
The Village Manager was directed to present a balanced budget with
whatever millage is required, and the Council will make the
necessary adjustments.
There being no further business to come before the Council, the
meeting adjourned at 7:25 p.m.
