ORDINANCE NO. 24-95
AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM
BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING SUBSECTION A, USES PERMITTED, IN SECTION
45-33, C-1 NEIGHBORHOOD COMMERCIAL DISTRICT, OF ARTICLE III OF
APPENDIX C-ZONING OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE VILLAGE TO ADD
THE PERMITTED USE OF ADULT ENTSRTAINMENT ESTABLISHMENTS; PROVIDING
FOR THE REPEAL OF ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH; AND, PROVIDING FOR AN SFFECTIVfi DATE.
BE IT ORDAINEb BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH,
FLORIDA:
' Section 1. Subsection A, Uses Permitted, of Section 45-
33, C-1 Neighborhood Commercial District, of Article III of
Appendix C-Zoning of the Code of Ordinances of the Village is
amended to add the permitted use of adult entertainment
establishments and to read as follows:
"Section 45-33 C-1 Neighborhood Commercial District.
(A) Uses Permitted. Within any C-1 neighborhood
commercial district, no building, structure, land or water shall be
used, except for one (1) or more of the following uses:
1. Any use permitted in the C-lA limited commercial
district.
2. Any retail business or commercial use which does
not involve the manufacturing or processing of
products.
' 3. Personal service establishments, including, but
not limited to, banks, barbershops, bowling
alleys, beauty salons, medical and dental
clinics, professional and other offices, funeral
' homes, filling stations, shoe repair shops,
laundry pickup stations and self-service
laundries, furniture display stores and
drugstores.
4. Theaters, but not drive-in theaters.
5. Dry cleaning plants using modern, automatic
cleaning systems with a completely enclosed
process and with solvent and vapor recovery units
designed to prevent the emission of objectionable
odors and effluent, provided:
(a) That such establishments employ not more
than five (5) persons on the premises,
exclusive of owner or manager and employees
who spend the greater part of their time
outside of, rather than on the premises,
such as delivery men, salesmen or business
solicitors.
(b) That such cleaning process meets with the
approval of the building official and the
fire chief, that it complies with all
' building code provisions and fire pre-
vention provisions of the Village of North
Palm Beach.
6. Mobile home park.
7. Adult Entertainment Establishments."
Section 2. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately
upon passage.
