ROLL CALL
Mayor Norris called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. All members of Council were present. All
members of staff were present, except the Village Attorney. Village consultant Colin Baenziger
was present to review the results of the executive search conducted by his firm.
VILLAGE MANAGER SEARCH AND RECRUITMENT
Mr. Baenziger reviewed the village manager recruitment profile. Mr. Baenziger explained why
not all candidates with four or more years experience as a town administrator were included in
the semi-finalists. Mr. Baenziger reviewed his proposed semi-finalists.
Council discussed Mr. Baenziger's list of eight semi-finalist candidates for the village manager
position. Council consensus was to request that Michael Czymbor, James Kelly, and Judy Whitis
be invited for interviews.
Councilman Gebbia reported on his telephone conversations with several of the candidates, and
advised that Mr. Czymbor had forwarded emails from his constituents. The Village Clerk was
directed to disseminate the emails to Council.
After further discussion, Mr. Baenziger advised he would forward information on additional
candidates for Council consideration. It was determined that the information would be available
for Council review by 4/20/12. Council will discuss the additional candidates and make a final
selection for those to be interviewed at its Special Session on 4/25/12, immediately prior to the
planned discussion of Council Goals and Objectives for the upcoming budget.
With no further business to come before the Council, the meeting was adjourned at 7:53 p.m.
