ROLL CALL
Mayor Norris called the meeting to order at 6:05 p.m. All members of Council were present. All
members of staff were present. Cohn Baenziger of Colin Baenziger and Associates was present.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss terms for a proposed Employment Agreement between
the Village and Ed Green as Village Manager.
Discussion took place regarding salary, severance pay, health insurance, life insurance,
residency, merit pay, cost-of-living adjustment, automobile and cell phone allowance, and
contribution to 457 plan.
Discussion ensued concerning severance, with regard to termination `without cause" or for "just
cause." Mr. Rubin reviewed the issues that would constitute "just cause" for termination.
Discussion was held concerning relocation expenses.
Mayor Norris, Mr. Rubin, and Mr. Baenziger will conduct a conference call with Mr. Green and
report on the status of contract negotiations at the May 24, 2012 Regular Session.
ADJOURNMENT
With no further business to come before the Council, the meeting adjourned at 7:05 p.m.
