Mayor Norris called the meeting to order at 8:22 p.m. All members of Council were present. All
members of staff were present.
SMALL-SCALE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENT 12-2 — NORTH PALM BEACH
ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Discussion took place concerning Small-Scale Comprehensive Plan Amendment 12-2 to add a
special policy amending the Village's Comprehensive Plan to increase the maximum floor area
ratio (FAR) from .15 to 0.35 at North Palm Beach Elementary School located at 401 Anchorage
Drive.
Kris Garrison, Planning and Real Estate Services Director for the School District of Palm Beach
County, gave a brief update on the North Palm Beach Elementary School modernization project
and a presentation on the proposed comprehensive plan amendment.
Mrs. Garrison explained the project schedule as follows: demolition of the old school in
November or December 2012, construction commencing in April 2013, with completion of
construction in June 2014, and student occupancy in August 2014.
Discussion took place concerning public information meetings. Mrs. Garrison proposed holding
three meetings: a general meeting in June to explain the project schedule and obtain initial input;
a meeting in late July to present the conceptual plans; and a final meeting in August.
This item was moved forward to the next Regular Session on June 14, 2012.

With no further business to come before the Council, the meeting adjourned at 8:47 p.m.
