ROLL CALL
Mayor Norris called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. All members of Council were present. All
members of staff were present. Dave Collier of Colin Baenziger and Associates was present.
The purpose of the meeting was to select and rank applicants for the position of Village Manager,
and to direct designated staff to negotiate an employment agreement with the top-ranked applicant.
The Village Council discussed the candidates for the position:
Michael Czymbor Ed Green Jim Kelly Judy Whitis
By written ballot, the originals of which are attached to the minutes of record, the Council
selected and ranked two applicants for the position of Village Manager, as follows: 1) Ed Green
and 2) Judy Whitis.
Councilman Gebbia moved to select Ed Green as the number one candidate for the next Village
Manager, and should negotiations with Mr. Green be unsuccessful, to commence negotiations
with the number two candidate, Judy Whitis. President Pm Tem Aubrey seconded the motion,
which passed unanimously.
By consensus, Council designated Mr. Rubin, Mayor Norris, and Mr. Baenziger to negotiate an
employment agreement with Mr. Green.
Discussion ensued regarding contract provisions. A Special Session of the Village Council was
scheduled for 5/22/12 at 6:00 p.m. to consider and approve parameters for contract negotiations.
ADJOURNMENT
With no further business to come before the Council, the meeting adjourned at 8:37 p.m.
