1990-32 Handicap Parking FineORDINANCE NO. 32-90
AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA,
PROVIDING FOR A FINE IN AMOUNT OF $100.00 FOR STOPPING, STAND-
ING OR PARKING IN HANDICAP PARKING SPACES IN VIOLATION OF
SECTION 316.1955 AND SECTION 316.1956 OF THE FLORIDA STATUTES,
WHICH SECTIONS PROVIDE FOR AND R);'GITiATE HANDICAP PARKING BY
GOVERNDIENTAL AND NONGOVERNMENTAL ENTITIES; PROVIDING FOR THE
REPEAL OF ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH; AND, PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Section 316.1955 and Section 316.1956 of the
Florida Statutes provide for and regulate the stopping, standing,
or parking in handicap parking spaces required of governmental
and nongovernmental entities; and
WHEREAS, Subsection (4) of Section 316.008 of the
Florida Statutes authorizes a municipality to enact an Ordinance
providing for a fine for violation of Section 316.1955 or Section
316.1956 not to exceed $250.00.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM
BEACH, FLORIDA:
' Section 1. The fine for stopping, standing or parking
in handicap parking spaces in violation of Section 316.1955 and
Section 316.1956 of the Florida Statutes shall be in the amount
of $100.00.
Section 2. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately
upon passage.
