A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
PURCHASE OF TWO 2012 DODGE CHARGER MARKED PATROL VEHICLES
PURSUANT TO THE STATE TERM CONTRACT FOR THE ACQUISITION
OF MOTOR VEHICLES; DECLARING SPECIFIED POLICE VEHICLES AS
SURPLUS PROPERTY AND AUTHORIZING THEIR DISPOSAL; AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Police Department is requesting the purchase of two marked patrol vehicles as
provided in the budget for the current fiscal year; and
WHEREAS, Village Administration recommends the purchase of two 2012 Dodge Charger
vehicles, fully equipped in accordance with Village specifications, pursuant to State Term
Contract No. 071-000-12-1 (Acquisition of Motor Vehicles); and
WHEREAS, the Village Council wishes to declare certain existing police vehicles as surplus
property and authorize their disposal; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the adoption of this Resolution is in the best
interests of the Village and its residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby approves the purchase of two 2012 Dodge Charger
marked patrol vehicles, equipped to Village specifications, from Garber Fleet Sales pursuant to
State Term Contract No. 071-000-12-1 (Acquisition of Motor Vehicles). The total amount
expended for these vehicles shall not exceed $57,582.00, with funds being expended from
Account No. A5711-66410 (Police Automotive Capital).
Section 3. Upon delivery, acceptance and placement into service of the new vehicles, the
Village Council declares the following vehicles as surplus property and authorizes their disposal
in accordance with Village policy:
