' AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA,
AMENDING THE VILLAGE CODE OF ORDINANCES BY ADDING ARTICLE XI,
SECTION 19-220 AND 19-221 RELATING TO WELLFIELD PROTECTION TO
CHAPTER 19, OFFENSES, MISCELLANEOU6 PROVISIONS; PROVIDING FOR THE
REPEAL OF ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM
BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the Village of North Palm Beach Code is
hereby amended by adding a new Article and Sections to be numbered
Article XI, Sections 19-220 and 19-221, which shall read as
follows:
ARTICLE XI. WELLFIELD PROTECTION
Section 19.220. Palm Beach County Wellfield Protection
ordinance.
The Village of North Palm adopts by reference the Palm Beach
County Wellfield Protection Ordinance (NO. 88-711.
' Section 19-221. Regulation of business activities which have
the potential to contaminate land and water resources.
A business must notify the Palm Beach County Department of
Environmental Resources Management of its intent to use, store
and/or dispose of those hazardous or toxic substances cited
in the Palm Beach County Wellfield Protection Ordinance. This
requirement shall be implemented and monitored through the
annual renewal of Village occupational licenses. At the time
of annual renewal, the applicant shall present proof to the
Village in the form of a returned receipt of such notification
to the Palm Beach County Department of Environmental Resources
Management.
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately
upon passage.
