' AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA TO
BE KNOWN AS THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH URBAN SERVICE AREA
ORDINANCE; PROVIDING FOR SHORT TITLE AND AUTHORITY; PROVIDING FOR
THE ESTABLISHMENT OF AN URBAN SERVICE AREA IN THE VILLAGE OF NORTH
PALM BEACH; PROVIDING FOR REPEAL OF ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND, PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, the Village of North Palm Beach, pursuant to Sec.
163.3161, et sea., Florida Statutes, the Florida Local Government
Comprehensive Planning and Land Development Regulation Act,
prepared and adopted a Comprehensive Plan; and

WHEREAS, as part of that Comprehensive Plan, the Village
prepared and adopted a Capital Improvement Element (CIE); and,
WHEREAS, Objective 6 of the CIE states that the Village shall
designate an Urban Service Area as a means of implementing future
land use designations as per the Comprehensive Plan's Future Land
Use Map Series, limiting potential Village post disaster
redevelopment expenditures; and promoting compact urban development
and limiting urban sprawl;
NOW, THEREFORE, SE IT ORDAINED SY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH
PALM BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. Short Title. This Ordinance shall be known
and may be cited as "The Village of North Palm Beach Urban Service
Area Ordinance."
Section 2. The Village shall designate an Urban Service
Area. That Urban Service Area shall consist of Planning Areas 2
through 7 inclusive, as depicted in Figure 3-1, Village of North
Palm Beach, North Palm Beach Planning Areas, Future Land Use Map,
of the 1989 Village of North Palm Beach. Florida. Comprehensive
Plan.
Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon
passage.
