AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PAlh1 BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING
SECTION 2-116 OF THE VILLAGE CODE BY CHANGING THE METHOD OF REMOVAL OF THE
VILLAGE IdANAGER AND COhIPENSATION FOR SUCH REMOVAL.
' BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. Section 2-116 of the Village Code is hereby amended to
read as follows:
"Section 2-116.
" Removal. The Village Council may remove the Village Manager at any
time by a majority vote of the members. In the event the Village Manager is
removed from office by the Village Council without good cause during a time that
the Village 1•fanager is willing and able to perform his duties, then, in that
event, the Village shall pay the Village Manager a lump sum cash payment equal
to one (1) month's salary after a Village Manager has served the Village for at
least twelve (12) months and shall pay him two (2) months' salary after a
' Village Manager has served the Village for at least two (2) years and shall pay
the Village Manager three (3) months' salary after a Village Manager has served
the Village for three (3) years or more, with the payment never to exceed three
(3) months' aggregate salary, and such payment shall relieve the Village of
all obligations to the Manager."
Section 2. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon
passage.
