FAMILY CENTRAL "S 40TH ANNIVERSARY
WHEREAS, Family Central was founded in 1971 and is celebrating 40 years of providing vital
programs and services to South Florida; and
WHEREAS, Family Central has been recognized by the Council on Accreditation for its outstanding
commitment to children and families; and
WHEREAS, approximately 1 million children and families have been served by Family Central since
1971; and
WHEREAS, our young children are the most valuable assets and represent the. future, hope and
inspiration of this country, state and nation; and
WHEREAS, modern societal and economic demands often cause families to separate and many young
children face crises of grave proportion; and
WHEREAS, Family Central and the Village of North Palm Beach acknowledge that quality family
support and early childhood education is an integral part of all young children's development; and
WHEREAS, a commitment to improving lives of children must begin at the local level, where children
and families live and work and have the potential to thrive, and where all citizens, working together can
make a difference in our children's life; and
WHEREAS, The Village of North Palm Beach has a strong commitment to improving the lives of
children and ensuring that all of our children have the opportunity to grow up healthy, safe, educated,
and free from poverty.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Darryl C. Aubrey, by virtue of the authority vested in me as Mayor of the
Village of North Palm Beach, do hereby proclaim
FAMILY CENTRAL'S 40TH ANNIVERSARY
in the Village of North Palm Beach, Florida, and recognize Family Central's 40 years of providing vital
programs and services to the children and families of South Florida.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Seal of the Village of North
Palm Beach to be affixed this 31 st day of January, 2012.
