A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, APPOINTING A SUCCESSOR TO FILL
A VACANCY ON THE VILLAGE COUNCIL; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, due to the resignation of Councilmember T.R. Hemacki effective January 3, 2012, the
office of Council member for Group 2 is vacant;and
WHEREAS, Article III, Section 5(c) of the Village Charter provides that if there are less than six
months remaining before the next regular Village election, the Council, by a majority vote of the
remaining members, "shall choose a successor to serve until the newly elected Council member is
qualified;"and
WHEREAS, the Village Council wishes to fill the vacant seat on the Village Council in accordance
with the Village Charter requirement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby appoints the following person to serve as a member
of the Village Council until the newly elected Council member for Group 2 is qualified:
Edward M. Eissey
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 12th DAY OF JANUARY, 2012.
