AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 2006-21
• ESTABLISHING BUILDING PERMIT FEES PURSUANT TO SECTION 108
OF THE 2004 EDITION OF THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE; PROVIDING
FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, through the adoption of Ordinance 2006-21 on September 28, 2006, the
Village Council amended Section 108 of the 2004 Edition of the Florida Building Code to adopt
increased building permit fees; and
WHEREAS, Village Administration is recommending the repeal of Ordinance 2006-21 in
order to allow the Village Council to establish building permit fees by resolution and incorporate
such fees into a master fee schedule; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the adoption of this Ordinance is in the
best interests of the residents and citizens of the Village of North Palm Beach.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and correct and are incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby repeals Ordinance 2006-21 in its entirety and authorizes
the adoption of building permit fees by resolution.
Section 3. If any section, paragraph, sentence, clause, phrase or word of this Ordinances is
for any reason held by a court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional, inoperative or
void, such holding shall not affect the remainder of the Ordinance.
Section 4. All ordinances and resolutions, or parts of ordinances and resolutions, in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
Section 5. This Ordinance shall be effective January 23, 2012.
