AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH,
FLORIDA, ADDING A CHAPTER TO THE VILLAGE CODE CONCERNING
ANNEXATION FEES AND COSTS.
BE ZT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM
' BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the Village of North Palm Beach
Code is hereby amended by adding a new Section, to be numbered
Section 40-1 through 40-4 of the Village Code, which said
Section shall read as follows:
"Section 40-1. Enactment and Authority. Pursuant to
Chapter 170, Florida Statutes, the Village of North Palm Beach,
Palm Beach County, Florida, does hereby ordain and enact into
law these additional requirements for annexation.
section 40-2. Jurisdiction. These regulations shall
govern all voluntary annexation of lands into the corporate
limits of North Palm Beach hereafter.
' Section 40-3. Fees. All applications for voluntary
annexation of land to the Village of North Palm Beach shall be
done by application to the Village Council. The application to
the Village Council may be made by any property owner of
property contiguous to the Village. Such application shall be
filed with the Building Department of the Village, which shall
transmit the same, together with all legal descriptions,
ownership information, etc., to the Village Council. Any such
application must be accompanied by a filing fee of ~ IOo~~
and shall be conditioned upon the applicant paying all the
Village's costs for legal .advertising for the proposed
annexation, as well as any other costs specially incurred by
the Village of North Palm Beach to process the voluntary
' annexation application.
Section 40-4. Advice of Planning Commission. Prior
to annexation, the Village Council shall seek the advice of the
Planning Commission of the Village of North Palm Beach as to
the proposed annexation,"
Section 2. This .Ordinance shall take effect
immediately upon passage.
