VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA

Mayor Marks called the Budget Workshop session to order at 7:00
p.m. All members of the Council were present, except the Village
Manager, who was out of the country.
Council conducted a review of EMS, and made the following changes:
11210, Regular Pay, 1990 Anticipated. Council requested
explanation of this amount to be given at next meeting. They also
requested a breakdown on incentive pay of different categories.
11410, Holiday Overtime Pay, changed from $5,890 to $4,000.
11420, Training Overtime Pay, changed from $5,818 to $2,500.
~ 33101, Preventive Medical Services, changed from $2,100 to $2,000.
33190, Other Professional Services, changed from $8,681 to $8,190,
to be increased when other pay is increased.
34650, R & M-Machinery, changed from $3,198 to $2,214, deducting
Lifepole contract ($984).
34660, R & M-Radio, changed from $1,425 to $1,200, deleting $225
for Radio Removal.
35214, EMS Shower - Detailed report requested $900.
At this point, because Dr. McCurdy was to be out of town the
following week, the Council considered specific items which
required Dr. McCurdy's advice, as follows:
66000, Airway Bag Replacement, no change from proposed amount of
$300.
66000, Traction Splint, no change from proposed amount of $310.
66000, Breakaway Stretcher, no change from proposed amount of $250.
66415, Computer Software, no change from proposed amount of $800 at
this time, but will be considered later.
66490, Defibrillator Monitor, no change from proposed amount of
$8,910.
~ 66490, Pulse Oximeter, was changed from $3,500 to 0.
The EMS budget will be finalized at the next budget workshop.
The meeting adjourned at 10:00 p.m.
