06-20-1990 VC B WS-MMINUTES OF BUDGET WORKSHOP OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA HELD WEDNESDAY, JUNE 20, 1990 Present: V. A. Marks, Mayor "'~ Jerry G. Gardner, Vice Mayor Judy M. Pierman, President Pro Tem Al Moore, Councilman Manny Grinn, Councilman Dennis W. Kelly, Village Manager Shaukat Khan, Finance Director Mayor Marks called the Budget Workshop session to order at 7:00 p.m. All members of the Council were present. The Village Manager and the Finance Director were also present. Departments reviewed were the Golf Shop, Golf Carts, Driving Range, Food & Beverage and Country Club Administration. The following changes were made: Golf Shop Account 34010 - Travel was changed from $482 to $388. Account 35110 - Office supplies was changed from $1,750 to $350. Account 35430 - Conference & Seminars was changed from $780 to $430. Account 66210 - Construction & Major Renovation was changed from .•~ $2, 500 to 0 . Account 66415 - Computer Hardware & Software was changed from $300 to 0. Account 66430 - Furniture & Fixtures was changed from $7,918 to $7,068. Account 66490 - Machinery & Equipment - proposed $2,500 for central air conditioning was put on hold. Golf Carts Account 34420 - Rental Equipment was reduced from $80,600 to $71,780. Account 35213 - Shop Tools & Supplies - proposed budget amount of $500 was put on hold. Driving Range Account 11300 - Part-time Pay was changed from $25,584 to $17,264. Account 34310 - Electricity was changed from $3,000 to $1,500. Account 35120 - Golf Supplies was changed from $9,000 to $7,000. Account 66210 - Construction & Major Renovation, which was incorrectly stated at $19,000 was corrected to read $18,300. This item was reduced to $1,200. Account 66420 - Office Equipment was proposed at $300, but was put on hold. Food & Beverage There were no changes to the proposed figures. Country Club Administration Account 33210 - Accounting and Auditing was changed from $4,920 to $3,520. Account 33220 - Interdepartmental Charges was changed from $35,000 to $54,851. Account 34910 - Legal Advertising was changed from $750 to 0. The breakdown of the proposed amount in this category was $450 for Golf Course Maintenance and $300 for Golf Course Operations. Minutes of Budget Workshop Session Held Wednesday, June 20, 1990 Account 66210 - Construction & Major Renovation was allocated $2,500. Mayor Marks announced that the continuing schedule of budget workshops would be July 23rd through July 25th, and July 30th through August 2nd, if necessary.
