Mayor Marks called the Special Workshop meeting to order at 6:35
p.m. All members of the Council were present. The Village Manager
and Deputy Village Clerk were present.
PURPOSE OF MEETING
The purpose of the Special Workshop Meeting was to present
budgetary goals of the Village Council.
The Village Manager reviewed goals established by the Village
Council on June 5, 1989, and provided a progress report and current
status of the goals established for Fiscal Year 1989-90. Following
the progress report, Council members discussed new budgetary goals
for Fiscal Year 1990-91. Listed below are their recommendations:
CAPITAL PROJECTS
Space Study Implementation/acquisition of
additional properties
Installation of sprinkler system for medians
north of Parker Bridge
Complete fencing in alley from Lighthouse to
Yacht Club Drive
Additional parking for Village Hall/Library/
Watts Building
Enclosure of Village Hall porch area to increase
office space for Finance Dept./Crime
Prevention/Lieutenants
Terminal for tie-in to server for Finance Dept./
stock clerk
Investigate and pursue purchase of Prosperity
`, Farms Road
Rip-rap across from Governor's Pointe
Tee Time System for NPB Country Club
Shellrock cart paths at golf course

MAINTENANCE PROJECTS
Xeriscaping for Anchorage Park
Develop plan for village-wide resident
"Beautification Month" for month of May -
suggestions to be submitted to Village Manager
Upgrade marina
Repairs on Watts Building
Removal of plantings in medians on U. S. 1
and replace with grass
Complete paint job for Village Hall; repairs
Spraying of weeds at Country Club
ADMINISTRATIVE/PROCEDURAL CHANGES/STUDIES
Employee share cost for medical/dental expenses
Cart path usage
Annexation goals will be addressed at a Special Meeting at 6:45
p.m. in the Conference Room prior to Regular Session meeting of May
10, 1990.
The consensus of Council was that the Village Manager should
continue to accept specific departmental goals from Department
Heads, as well as from various Boards.
There being no further business to come before the Council, the
meeting was adjourned at 7:40 p.m.
