ROLL CALL
Mayor Gardner called the meeting to order at 9:12 p.m. All members
of Council were present. All members of staff were present.
RESOLUTION NO. - ABANDONMENT OF GARDEN LANE
Discussion was held concerning a proposed resolution agreeing to
.-. the abandonment of a twenty foot wide public right of way known as
Garden Lane. This item was forwarded to the Regular Session agenda
of August 22, 1991.
BTD AWARD - TOWING
Discussion was held concerning a bid award to Lyons Towing Company
based on bids received and opened on June 25, 1991. This item will
be placed on the Regular Session agenda of August 22, 1991.
AGREEMENT EXTENSION - LAND RESEARCH MANAGEMENT
Discussion was held concerning extension of the 9/8/88 agreement
between the Village of North Palm Beach and Land Research
Management, Inc., with a proviso that the Scope of Services be
modified to the current Village requirements. This item was
forwarded the Regular Session agenda of August 22, 1991.
BUDGET TRANSFER - SANITATION-AUTO PARTS
Discussion was held concerning request by Public Services to
transfer $7,743.23 from A5540-49911 (Council Contingency) to A7020-
35418 (Sanitation-Auto Parts) to replenish the account to meet
routine expenditures for the balance of the fiscal year. This item
-- was moved forward to the Regular Session agenda of August 22, 1991.
BUDGET TRANSFER - ANCHORAGE PARK GARAGE
Discussion was held concerning a request by Public Safety (Fire
Department) to reallocate funds and approve budget transfer from
Minutes of Workshop Session - Thursday, August 8, 1991
various A5540 accounts to A5812-66210 (Construction & Major
Renovations) in the amount of $1,345.00 for the purpose of
upgrading the garage at Anchorage Park in order to store the fire
engine in a secure place. This item will be placed on the Regular
Session agenda of August 22, 1991.
BID AWARD - TREE MAINTENANCE PROGRAM
Discussion was held concerning the bid award to Snapp Tree Service
and Zimmerman Tree Service in the amount of $4,400.00 each for the
purpose of removing, thinning and trimming various trees, with
funds to be expended from Account L8045-33430. This item was
forwarded to the Regular Session agenda of August 22, 1991.
VILLAGE "VOLUNTEER CORPS"
Discussion was held concerning the establishment of a Volunteer
Corps within the Village of North Palm Beach. Determination will
be made as to what services are already available through the
area's Agency on Aging and the Retired Senior Volunteer Program,
,.., and a volunteer's register will be started by advertising in the
Village Newsletter. The possibility of setting up a Teen Advisory
Group will also be considered.
There being no further business to come before the Council, the
meeting adjourned at 10:59 p.m.
