Mayor Gardner called the meeting to order at 8:50 p.m. All members
of Council and staff were present.
BILLS 657 THROUGH 661
Bills 657 through 661 were dropped from the agenda, and will be
addressed at the Workshop Session of May 23, 1991.
BILL 656 - AMENDING GENERAL FUND - LAKESIDE PARK
Discussion was held concerning Bill 656, a proposed ordinance
amending the North Palm Beach General Fund budget in the amount of
$8,000 for Lakeside Park shoreline restoration. This item was
forwarded the Regular agenda for May 23, 1991.
NEWSLETTER ITEM
Discussion was held concerning Councilman Grinn's request to place
a meeting notice in the Village Newsletter.
BID AWARD - FIREWORKS
Discussion was held concerning the bid of Zambelli Fireworks of New
Castle, PA. This item will be placed on the Regular Session of May
23, 1991.
BUDGET TRANSFER - LEGAL FEES
Discussion was held concerning a budget transfer to cover various
legal fees. This was forwarded to the Regular Session agenda of

PARTIAL LONGEVITY PAY - SGT. ROBERT WALTON
Discussion was held concerning the issue of partial longevity pay
to retired Public Safety Sergeant Robert Walton. The consensus of

Council was not to issue longevity pay, but agreed to give Sgt.
Walton a bonus for his many years of service.
"WE CARE" - PUBLIC SAFETY PROGRAM
Discussion was held concerning Public Safety Department's request
to implement a "We Care" program. This item will be placed on the
Workshop agenda of May 23, 1991, with additional information,
including approximate costs of the program.
MID-YEAR FINANCIAL ANALYSIS
Discussion was held concerning the six-month financial report for
Fiscal Year 1990-91. The Council directed the Village Manager to
arrange for comparative insurance presentations.
There being no further business to come before the Council, the
meeting adjourned at 10:25 p.m.
