07-01-1992 VC B WS-M^'~ BUDGET WORKSHOP OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA HELD WEDNESDAY, JULY 1, 1992 Present: Judy M. Pierman, Mayor Thomas F. Kelsey, Ph.D., Vice Mayor V. A. Marks, M. D. , President Pro Tem Tom Valente, Councilman Gail H. Vastola, Councilman Dennis W. Kelly, Village Manager nnr_r. rnr_T_ Mayor Pierman called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. All members of Council were present except Vice Mayor Kelsey, who was expected to arrive shortly. Village Manager Dennis Kelly was expected momentarily. Finance Director Shaukat Khan was present, as was Chief Bruce Sekeres and Captain George Warren. The following changes to the draft budget were made by the Council: Law Enforcement: Council discussed various options of developing a north substation and concluded to continue the discussion with the specific purpose of outlining what type of service and facility would need to be provided for the north end. 5711-12310 - Hospitalization was changed from $109,517 to $146,286 Fire Prevention: 5812-11520 - Public Safety Pay Increment was increased from $4,000 to $6,000 5812-12310 - Hospitalization was increased from $6,728 to $8,001 5812-33130 - Physical Exam was decreased from $3,025 to $525 The Council authorized staff to expend up to $2,500 from the current budget for Hepatitis B vaccine for volunteer fire fighters. Emergency Medical Services 6416-12310 - Hospitalization was increased from $16,004 to $21,096 No changes were made to the Village Attorney, Finance Department and Service Fund. Minutes of Budget Workshop Held Wednesday, July 1, 1992 The budget workshop scheduled for Thursday, July 2, 1992 was cancelled. Budget workshops will resume on Monday, July 6, 1992, starting with the Library. Additionally, the Village Clerk's budget and the Reserve accounts that were scheduled for Tuesday, July 7, 1992 were moved forward to Monday, July 6, 1992. The Council reserved its option to review Revenues, set the tentative millage, and finalize the budget on Monday, July 6 and Tuesday, July 7, 1992. The meeting adjourned at 10:00 p.m. Kathleen F.
