ROLL CALL
Mayor Pierman called the meeting to order at 10:05 p.m. All
members of Council were present. All members of staff were
present.
BID AWARD - FERTILIZER
Discussion was held concerning the recommendation of the Country
'~ Club Administrative Board to award the bid for 15-0-15 fertilizer
with Ronstar to Par Ex, Division of Vigoro Industries, Winter
Haven, Florida in the amount of $10,047.95. The bid award was
forwarded to the Regular Session agenda of May 14, 1992.
RESTAURANT SIGN - COUNTRY CLUB
Discussion was held concerning the recommendation of the Country
Club Administrative Board for Council approval of a restaurant sign
conforming in style and color to the NPBCC sign, as requested by
Armando Denaro. This item will be placed on the Regular Session
agenda of May 14, 1992.
BUDGET TRANSFER - OVERTIME PAY FOR GOLF COURSE MAINTENANCE
Discussion was held concerning the Country Club Administrative
Board recommendation to approve a budget transfer in the amount of
$3,000 from the Country Club Contingency (L8070-49910) to Overtime
Pay (L8045-11400). This was forwarded to the Regular Session
agenda of May 14, 1992.
EMPLOYEE GROUP HEALTH PROPOSALS
Due to the length of time' required to adequately discuss the
proposals received from Humana Medical Plan, Florida League of
Cities, and FIRMA on employee group health plans, this item will be
addressed at a Special Workshop scheduled for Thursday, May 7, 1992
from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

HIRING FREEZE POLICY
Discussion was held concerning the implementation of the recently
established hiring freeze policy. It was the concern of some
members of Council that no criteria had been established to define
when the hiring freeze should be put into effect and when it should
be lifted. This item will be placed on the Regular Session agenda
of May 14, 1992.
Having reached the curfew of 11:00 p.m., the meeting was adjourned.
