03-26-1992 VC WS-MWORKSHOP SESSION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA HELD THURSDAY, MARCH 26, 1992 Present: Judy M. Pierman, Mayor Thomas F. Kelsey, Ph.D., Vice Mayor V . A . Kelly, Village Clerk ROLL CALL Mayor Pierman called the meeting to order at 9:15 p.m. All members of Council were present. All members of staff were present. BILL 681 - RECREATING THE RECREATION ADVISORY BOARD Discussion was held concerning Bill 681, a proposed ordinance reestablishing the Recreation Advisory Board by formal ordinance. The current Board was created by Resolution only. After making minor changes to the ordinance, this item was forwarded to the Regular Session agenda of April 9, 1992. NAMAC/POLICE - INTE_RLOCAL AGREEMENT Discussion took place concerning a proposed Interlocal Agreement between the Village of North Palm Beach and member jurisdictions creating a Northern Area Mutual Aid Consortium for police services. This agreement will be placed on the Regular Session agenda of April 9, 1992. CODE ENFORCEMENT AND NEW RESIDENTS' BROCHURES Discussion was held concerning the development of a brochure for Code Enforcement, to be distributed to inquiring residents, and a brochure for new residents detailing Village services and general information about the Village of North Palm Beach. A rough draft was offered for Council perusal and consideration. The generation of these brochures will be discussed at a future workshop. ,_ SCHWENCKE PROPERTY ACQUISITION Discussion was held concerning a proposal offered by Jack Schwencke for the purchase of his property located at Anchorage Park. The consensus of Council was that no action be taken regarding this acquisition at this time.
