Mayor Gardner called the meeting to order at 10:05 p.m. All
members of Council were present. All members of staff were present
except the Village Manager, who was out of the Country. Bruce
Sekeres, Director of Public Safety, was present as Acting Village
Manager.

ANNUAL AUDIT REPORT
Discussion was held concerning the Village of North Palm Beach
Comprehensive Annual Financial Report for year ended September 30,
1991, as presented by Haas, Diaz & Co., Inc. Debbie Diaz was
present to answer questions from the Council. This item was
forwarded to the Regular Session agenda of February 27, 1992.
HIRING FREEZE POLICY
Discussion on the hiring freeze policy was postponed until the next
Workshop Session, pending the return of the Village Manager.
URBAN ADMINISTRATION COMMITTEE APPOINTMENT
Discussion on the appointment of the Village Manager to the Florida
League of Cities Urban Administration Committee was postponed until
the next Workshop Session, pending the return of the Village
Manager.
ANNEXATION OF VARIOUS-PROPERTIES
Discussion was held concerning voluntary annexation of the Benjamin
School, with authorization given to prepare an annexation ordinance
for the next Regular Session agenda of February 27, 1992.
The remaining properties of the FP&L substation, motel apartments
(Carolinda Drive) and F.I.N.D. north of Millings Marina was

postponed until the next Workshop session, pending backup material
and the return of the Village Manager.
SCHWENKE PROPERTY ACQUISITION
Brief discussion was held concerning authorization to negotiate the
purchase of Schwenke property located in the Anchorage Park area.
This item will be placed on the Regular Session agenda of February
27, 1992 for further discussion with the Village Manager.
With no further business to come before the Council, the meeting
adjourned at 10:52 p.m.
