Mayor Marks called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. All members
of Council were present. Members of staff present were Village
Manager Dennis Kelly, Village Clerk Kathleen Kelly, and Public
Services Director Charles O'Meilia.
All members of the Planning Commission were present except Norman
Thomas and Carol Kelley. Ms. Kelley arrived at 7:00 p.m.
PURPOSE OF THE MEETING
The purpose of the Special Joint Workshop was to review the
proposed sign code.
Various North Palm Beach business owners were present to address
the Village Council and the Planning Commission with their concerns
and objections to the proposed sign code.
~, Discussion took place concerning the following points:
Exterior outline lighting of buildings
Neon tube signs
Appeal process
Awning signs in lieu of wall signs, and the lighting thereof

After statements from the public and discussion were completed, the
meeting adjourned at 7:35 p.m.
