Vice Mayor Vastola called the meeting to order at 8:50 p.m. All
members of Council were present except Mayor Marks, who was out of
town. All members of staff were present.
BILL 720 - AMENDING GENERAL FUND BUDGET FOR FY 1992-93 FOR
EQUIPMENT PURCHASE FUNDED BY EMS GRANT
Discussion was held concerning Bill 720, a proposed ordinance
amending the General Fund Budget for Fiscal Year 1992-93 in the
amount of $3,155.00, to appropriate funds for Audio, Visual and
Communication systems for Public Safety, to be funded by the EMS
Grant from Palm Beach County. This was forwarded to the Regular
Session agenda of June 24, 1993.
EMS GRANT
Discussion took place concerning a proposed resolution certifying
that monies from the EMS Grant will improve and expand EMS services
in the Village, and will not supplant existing provider's EMS
budget. This item will be placed on the Regular Session agenda of
June 24, 1993.
INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN NPB AND PALM BEACH COUNTY FOR HOUSING
AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
Douglas Pugh, Senior Planner with the Palm Beach County Division of
,_„ Housing and Community Development, was present to address the
Council regarding an Interlocal Agreement with the County to
participate in the Community Development Block Grant and Home
Investment Partnership Programs. This was forwarded to the Regular
Session agenda of June 24, 1993.

BUDGET TRANSFER - TRAINING OVERTIME
The Council discussed a request by the Public Safety Department to
transfer $3,200.00 from various Public Safety accounts to A5812-
11420 (Training Overtime) for the purpose of continuing fire
training of Public Safety officers through the remainder of the
1992-93 Fiscal Year. This was moved to the Regular Session agenda
of June 24, 1993.
APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS FOR SCHWENCKE PROPERTY ACQUISITION
Discussion was held concerning the appropriation of funds for the
negotiation and purchase of gas tank property (Schwencke property}
at Anchorage Park. This item was forwarded to the Regular Session
of June 24, 1993.
BENJAMIN SCHOOL LEASE AMENDMENT
!~ Tim Monaghan, attorney for The Benjamin School, was present before
Council to request that the Lease Agreement between North Palm
Beach and The Benjamin School for a Public Safety station be
amended to extend the June 17, 1993 notification date for
substitute land to August 15, 1993. This item will appear on the
Regular Session of June 24, 1993.
ADJOURNMENT
With no further business to come before the Council, the meeting
adjourned at 9:30 p.m.
