ROLL CALL
Mayor Vastola called the Special Joint Workshop to order at 7:30 p.m. All members of
Council were present. All members of the Country Club Administrative Board were
present. Village Manager Dennis Kelly and Club Manager Alan Sayer were present.
PURPOSE OF THE MEETING
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss criteria for Requests for Proposals for the
operation of the restaurant at the North Palm Beach Country Club.
Lengthy discussion was held concerning plans for the Country Club Restaurant. Options
under discussion included renovation, tearing down and rebuilding, leasing to a large
restauranteur versus a small operator, and charging an assessment to members or
having a food plan.
Consensus of the Village Council and the Country Club Administrative Board was to
publish Requests for Proposals, taking guidance from the proposals that are received.
The Country Club Administrative Board will review the proposals and send them forward
to the Village Council.
Minutes Special Joint Workshop
held Monday, February 27, 1995
A draft of a "Request for proposal" will be prepared with the needs of the Village and the
membership considered, and presented to the Village Council at the next Regular Session
on March 9, 1995, after which the Country Club Administrative Board will advertise.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 9:37 p.m.
