~~"" Mayor Valente called the meeting to order at 9:00 p.m. All members of staff were present
except Village Manager Dennis Kelly. Bruce Sekeres, Director of Public Safety, was
present as Acting Village Manager in Mr. Kelly's absence.
EXPANDING LIBRARY AND RECREATION ADVISORY BOARDS
Discussion was held concerning adding alternates to the Library and Recreation Advisory
Boards. Draft ordinances amending current composition of the Boards will be brought to
the next workshop for further discussion. Input from both the Library Advisory Board and
the Recreation Advisory Board is requested the next Council workshop on May 25, 1995.
REALLOCATION OF BUDGETED FUNDS FOR DATABASE -CLERK'S OFFICE
Discussion was held concerning reallocation of budgeted funds in the amount of $2,100
for a network system in the Village Clerk's office and purchase of database software;
funds to be transferred from A4904-11300 (Part-time Pay) to 4904-66415 (Computer
Hardware & Software) and A4904-34630 (R&M-Furniture & Office Equipment). This item
will be placed on the Regular Session agenda of May 25, 1995.

Discussion took place concerning joining the Palm Beach County Municipal League. This
item will be placed on the Regular Session agenda of May 25, 1995.

GOAL-SETTING FOR 1995-96
The Village Council set its goals for Fiscal Year 1995-96, as follows:
Councilman Vastola:
- Implement Recreation Master Plan, at least partially
- Job Description Study
- Implement Space Study by securing separate facility for Public Safety, using
current Village Hall for Administration
- Library Parking
Vice Mayor Marks:
~-- - Purchase of Seacoast Building
- Begin implementation of Recreation Master Plan
- Move Public Safety and Fire to Anchorage Park
- Possible purchase of neighboring buildings
President Pro Tem Kelley:
- Annexation of Hidden Key and Lost Tree Village
Councilman O'Meilia:
- Library computer system
- Comp Plan Update and Appraisal Report
- Northlake Blvd. Overlay Corridor/Erosion Study
- Preliminary plans for Public Safety Building -bond issue for land and
construction
- Preliminary plans for Senior Citizen Building at Anchorage Park, per
Recreation Master Plan
- Design Plans for Community Center expansion
- NPBCC Erosion Control - 1st phase
- Council Chambers renovation
