The following represents changes made by the Village Council during their budget workshop of

RECREATION:
No definitive changes to the line items listed in the operating budget; however, lengthy discussion
ensued regarding the Recreation Master Plan.
Community Center Lighting: Report from Mayor Valente that County Commissioner Karen
Marcus committed to $50,000 in matching funds for lights at the Community Center for FY 95-96.
The $50,000 was contingent upon the Village matching that amount. The funds would be established
through an interlocal agreement with the County. Manager is to draft a letter under the Mayor's
signature to Commissioner Marcus indicating a commitment by the Village to match the $50,000.
The following items will be added to the July 27, 1995 workshop agenda regarding architect and
engineer work for these projects:
A. Community Center
B. Concession Stand
C. Senior Citizen Center
~, A request will go out to the Village engineer and an architect for a scope of services regarding these
projects.
GENERAL SERVICES:
Space Study:
1. Consensus of the Council was to direct the Village Manager to develop 3-5 location
alternatives for a Public Safety building on U. S. 1.
2. Charge an architect with a requirement to do a preliminary design on a two-story building
on approximately 1.5 acres. Have the architect develop a scope of services to be presented
back to the Village Council for their approval.

VILLAGE ATTORNEY: No Changes
PUBLIC SERVICES ADMINISTRATION:
A6018-34811 Employee Relations -0- $500.
FINANCE: No Changes
~ Short discussion ensued regarding next meeting scheduled for Monday, July 24, 1995. Council to
meet at 6:15 p.m. for Executive Session to discuss union negotiation strategies and then convene to
Village Council budget workshop at 7:00 p.m. Meeting originally scheduled for Thursday, July 20,
1995 has been cancelled.
This memo in essence represents the minutes of the budget workshop of Wednesday, July 12, 1995.
