RE: Budget Workshop Minutes of June 24, 1996
The following represents, in essence, the budget workshop minutes of the North Palm Beach
Village Council of Monday, June 24, 1996, convening at 7:00 p.m. All Council members were
present and the following Country Club Administrative Board members were present: Jerry
Nolan, Chairman; Len Pellegren, Arnold Hess and Catherine Suddarth. Staff present were:
,,~.. Dennis Kelly, Village Manager; Shaukat Khan, Finance Director; Sheila Dewberry, Country
Club Administrator; and John Morsut, Golf Course Maintenance Superintendent. The Village
Council started the budget workshop meeting by reviewing the Country Club budget and the
following changes or items were made or discussed:
• Revise organization chart on p. 182 of the draft budget to reflect number of employees
(full-time, part-time, contract employees, etc.).
REVENUES:
L3700-02931 FIND-Engineering Design-Reimbursement
Under the 1996 anticipated column change from 0 to $24,400
• Per Councilman O'Meilia, staff is to generate a not to excced one-page report on Cash and
Reserve accounts; said accountability to be posted from June 30, 1996.
• On p. 187 under Revenues, change title of Golf Shop to Golf Shop Merchandise and under
title of Expenses, change Golf Shop to Golf Shop and Operations.
• On p. 189 under Golf Course Maintenance, under the major changes in 1996-97, change
the word leasing to purchase.
• Per Vice Mayor Valenti, Council is to review all management salaries (Country Club Fund
and General Fund) at one time later in the budget process.

COUNTRY CLUB ADMINISTRATION:
Page 233 under Objectives; delete the following from the Objective statement, "Along with the
Country Club Administrative Board..." The new Objective should read as follows: "Implement
suggestions from the membership survey in order to update and upgrade the entire North Palm
Beach Country Club facility."
The Village Council adjourned at 10:00 p.m. and will reconvene on Tuesday, June 25, 1996 at
7:00 p.m. with Clubhouse Grounds of the Country Club Fund. This memorandum represents,
in essence, the minutes of the Village Council budget workshop.
