ROLL CALL
Mayor Marks called the meeting to order at 9:20 p.m. All members of Council were
~, present. All members of staff were present.
RESOLUTION SUPPORTING SHORE PROTECTION ACT OF 1996
Discussion was held concerning a proposed resolution supporting U. S. Senate (S1811)
and House of Representatives (H.R. 3551), titled "The Shore Protection Act of 1996";
urging the Bill's quick passage by Congress. This will be placed on the Regular Session
agenda of July 25, 1996.
BUDGET TRANSFER -ATTORNEY EXPENSES
Discussion was held concerning a budget transfer from A5540-49911 (Council
Contingency) in the amount of $30,500; $12,000 to A5105-33111 (Village Attorney), and
$18,500 to A51 05-331 1 2 (Special Legal Services) to fund the remainder of Fiscal Year
1995-96. This was forwarded to the Regular Session of July 25, 1996.
NORTH COUNTY HOLIDAY BOAT PARADE
Discussion was held concerning a December holiday boat parade sponsored by the
Optimist Clubs of the Palm Beaches and the Marine Industries Association of Palm Beach
County. A resolution supporting the boat parade will be prepared for the July 25, 1996
Regular agenda.

Held Thursday, July 11, 1996
SOCIETY OF ANIMAL ARTISTS BENEFIT -DONATION
Discussion took place concerning a request for donation to the Society for Animal Artists
Benefit for art exhibit and sale in the amount of $250.00. This was forwarded to the
Regular Session agenda of July 25, 1996.
GRIEVANCE COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION -WARREN/LERNER GRIEVANCE
Discussion was held concerning a Grievance Committee recommendation to increase the
salary of Public Safety employees Captain George Warren and Administrative Secretary
Jane Lerner from 3.5% to 7.0%. This item will be placed on the Regular Session agenda
of July 25, 1996. Council requested clarification of the Committee's recommendation prior
to the next Regular Session.
PROSPERITY HARBOR NORTH P.U.D.
Discussion took place concerning application for a Planned Unit Development known as
~ Prosperity Harbor North, upon certain lands comprising 33.4 acres, more or less, within
the Village. A draft P.U.D. ordinance and accompanying rezoning ordinance will be
brought back to the Workshop session of July 25, 1996.
INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT -AMBULANCE TRANSPORTATION
Discussion was held concerning an Interlocal Agreement between the Village of North
Palm Beach and the Town of Lake Park, wherein the Village would provide services for
Lake Park's proposed Advanced Life Support service. The Interlocal Agreement was not
forwarded to Regular Session at this time. Consensus of Council was to hold discussions
with Lake Park, with the understanding that the Village will not be ready to provide
ambulance transport service to them by the requested date of January 1, 1997.

There being no further business to come before the Council, the meeting adjourned at
10:45 p.m.
