Ordinance 1985-013 Adopts National Electric Code 1984 EditionORDINANCE N0. 13-85
AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA,
AMENDING CHAPTER 11 OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH CODE, THE ELECTRICAL
CODE FOR THE VILLAGE, BY ADOPTING BY REFERENCE THERETO THE NATIONAL
ELECTRIC CODE, 1984 EDITION, AND SETTING FORTH AMENDMENTS TO SAID NATIONAL
' ELECTRIC CODE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH FLORIDA:
Section 1. Section 11-11 of the Village of .North Palm Beach Code
is hereby amended to read as fbllows:
"Sec. 11-11. ADOPTED BY REFERENCE -- Under the authority of
Section 163. 95, F orida Statutes, the Village of North Palm
Beach hereby adopts by reference thereto the"National Electric
Code, 1984 Edition, and the recommended amendments of the
Building Code Advisory Board of Palm Beach County, as the
electrical code for the Village. There has been .for at least
ten days last past and shall- be during the time that this code
is in effect, three copies of such code and recommended
amendments kept available for public use, inspection and
examination."
Section 2. Section 11-12 of the Village of_North Palm Beach Code
' is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Sec. 11-12. AMENDMENTS; .CORRECTIONS AND ADDITIONS-- The
fol owing amendments, corrections an a it ons to the
recommended amendments of the Building Code Advisory Board
of Palm Beach County are hereby made and adopted, said
amendments, corrections and additions being set forth herein
with reference to and prefaced by .the section number and
title of said amendments, as follows:
80-6(c)(3) - Schedule of Permit Fees. Delete the first
paragraph and substitute the following:
On all electrical work requiring a pettnit as set
forth in 80-5, fees shall be paid as required at the
time of filing applicatiop in accordance with. the following
schedule:

For bullding shell and meter center only that dries not Include wiring of individual units, the
pcrmu fee shall be 1 /2 of the above schedule.

Article 230-43 -- Add to existing paragraph:
This paragraph shall not apply to'single family dwellings
. or primary cable on any buildings so long as the services are
installed ,operated and maini:ained by a franchised utility

Section 3. Any person, firm, or corporation who shall violate a

provision of this Ordinance, or fail to comply therewith, or with any of
the requirements thereof, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor. Each such
person shall be deemed guilty of a separate offense for each and every
day or portion thereof during which any violation of any of the provisions
of this Ordinance is committed or continued, and upon. conviction of any
such violation, such person shall be punished by a fine not exceeding five
hundred dollars ($500.00) or imprisonment fora term not exceeding six (5)
months, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon
