2011-39 Extending Small Business Grant Program RESOLUTION 2011-39
A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
• NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING RESOLUTION 2010-45 TO
EXTEND THE SMALL BUSINESS GRANT PROGRAM AND PROVIDE FOR
THE CARRYOVER OF UNEXPENDED FUNDS; PROVIDING FOR
CONFLICTS; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, through the adoption of Resolution 2010-45, the Village Council amended the
Fiscal Year 2009-2010 budget and approved the transfer of $100,000 from the Council
Contingency Account to the Community Planning — Small Business Grant Expense Account to
fund the Small Business Grant Program("Program"); and
WHEREAS, Section 3 of Resolution 2010-45 provided for the carryover of unexpended funds to
the 2010-2011 fiscal year; and
WHEREAS, because the program is still underway and a majority of the grant funds have not
been expended, Village Administration is recommending that such funds continue to be carried
over to subsequent fiscal years; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the adoption of this Resolution is in the best
interests of the Village and its residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM
BEACH, FLORIDA, as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby amends Section 3 of Resolution 2010-45 to provide
that all unexpended Small Business Grant Expense funds (Account No. A5026-33125) may
continue to be carried over to the 2011-2012 fiscal year and subsequent fiscal years and may be
added to the corresponding approved budget balance for such fiscal years and be re-appropriated
for expenditure. The funds shall continue to be carried over until all funds in the Small Business
Grant Expense Account are expended or the Village Council discontinues the Program,
whichever first occurs.
Section 3. All resolutions or parts of resolution in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to
the extent of such conflict.
Section 4. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
