A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING RESOLUTION 2010-40 TO
EXTEND THE DURATION OF THE AD HOC BUSINESS ADVISORY
COMMITTEE, EXTEND THE MEMBERSHIP OF CURRENT MEMBERS,
AND REDUCE THE QUORUM REQUIREMENT; PROVIDING FOR
CONFLICTS; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, through the adoption of Resolution 2010-40, the Village Council created an ad hoc
Business Advisory Committee ("Committee") to provide recommendations to the Village
Council on matters affecting businesses located within the Village; and
WHEREAS, Section 8 of Resolution 2010-40 provided that the Committee shall remain in
existence for one year from the date that the Village Council appoints its membership unless
otherwise extended or modified by the Village Council; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council wishes to extend the duration of the Committee and determines
that such extension is in the best interests of the residents and citizens of the Village of North
Palm Beach.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby amends Resolution 2010-40 to extend the duration of
the ad hoc Business Advisory Committee through April 30, 2012. The Village Council further
extends the terms of the seven existing members through April 30, 2012 and reduces the quorum
requirement to four (4) members. The two vacant positions shall remain vacant through the
extended period.
Section 3. All other provisions of Resolution 2010-40, to the extent not expressly modified
herein, shall remain in full force and effect.
Section 4. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 22nd DAY OF SEPTEMBER, 2011.
