ROLL CALL
Mayor Vastola called the meeting to order at 9:50 p.m. All members of Council were
present except President Pro Tem Kelley, who was absent due to illness. All members
of staff were present.
LABOR CONSULTANT -REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
A discussion was held concerning shortening the list of Labor Consultant applicants to be
interviewed from 5 applicants to 3. After consideration of the preliminary interviews
conducted earlier in the evening, the Village Council agreed by consensus to schedule
20-minute interviews on Thursday, November 13, 1997 at 6:30 p.m. with the following
three applicants: William Burns, Murray Hudson, and James Cherof.
ANNUAL VENDOR CONTRACTS
Discussion was held concerning a proposed resolution accepting the annual vendor
contracts for labor and materials as awarded by Palm Beach County, the State of Florida
and the Palm Beach County Cooperative Purchasing Council. This resolution will be
placed on the Regular Session agenda of November 13, 1997.
BUDGET TRANSFER -COUNTRY CLUB
Discussion was held concerning a budget transfer in the amount of $7,300; $2,500 from
L8051-66490 (Machinery & Equipment) and $4,800 from L8059-11300 (part-time pay
clubhouse) to fund shortfall in L8050-11300 (part-time pay tennis) and balance the 1996-
97 Country Club Budget. This was forwarded to the Regular Session agenda of
November 13, 1997.

BUDGET AMENDMENT -DCA GRANT FOR BICYCLE PATROL
Discussion was held concerning Bill 905, a proposed ordinance amending the 1997-98
General Fund Budget to carry over the 1996-97 unexpended portion of a DCA grant for
bicycle patrol. This item will be placed on the Regular Session agenda of November 13,
1997.
VILLAGE MANAGER'S REPORT
Village Manager Dennis Kelly presented the Council will different examples of how to
disburse the monies based on evaluation scores. Vice Mayor O'Meilia also submitted an
alternative method for calculating the raises per performance scores. This item will be
placed on the Regular Session agenda of November 13, 1997.

With no further business to come before the Council, the meeting adjourned at 10:30 p.m.
