Collins, Deputy Village Clerk Mayor Brown called the Public Hearing to order at 7:15 ROLL CALL p.m. All members of the Cotmcil were present. Mayor Brown turned the gavel over to Vice Mayor Kazimir MAYOR TURNS GAVEL to c AlY the Public Hearing due to a severe case of OVER TO VICE MAYOR laryngitis. The purpose of this Public Hearing i.s to hear the continents PURPOSE OF PUBLIC of the public on Bill No. 342, a proposed ordinance HEARTVI G amending Chapter 6 of the Village Building Code by deleting the schedule of permit fees, charges and expenses and sub- stituting a new section. Legal notice of this Public Hearing was published in the LEGAL NOTICE Palm Beach Post on January 18 and January 23, 1980 and PUBLISHED posted according to law. There were no comments from the public or the Council NO C~iTS FR~I at this Public Hearing. Walker, Village Clerk Cheryl S. Collins, Deputy Village Clerk Vice Mayor Kazimir called the Regular Session to order at 7:30 ROLL CALL p.m. All members of the Council were present. Mayor Brown asked Vice Mayor Kazimir to chair the meeting because he had severe laryngitis. Councilman Marks gave the invocation and Councilman Moore led IlWOCATION & the Council and the public in the Pledge of Allegiance to the PLEDGE OF Flag . AT 7.F.Gjp,Nt~ The minutes of Regular Session held Thursday, January 24, 1980 APPROVAL OF MINUTES stand as prepared. Vice Mayor Kazimir read a Proclamation proclaiming February PROG72S9ATION - 29, March 1 and 2, 1980, as 'Tootsie Roll Weekend" which urged "TOOTSIE ROLL all citizens to support the Knights of Columbus in their effort WEE[~[~ID" ' to raise funds for the Association of Retarded Citizens. Mr. Howard Lebrecht, Director of Operations, Inter-City First IlVTER-CTI'Y'S Aid Squad, appeared before the Village Council soliciting its "SPONSORSHIP 80" support for "Inter-City's Sponsorship 80...An Interest in Tnter-City", which would provide unlimited emPxgency service to any hospital in the north county area for an annual sponsor- ship rate. The Council instructed the Village Attorney to prepare-a resolution concPn+~ng this for Council's workshop sessi_on of February 28, 1980. President Pro.Tem Love directed the Village Clerk to incor- PRES. PRO TF1~1 porate in the minutes of this meeting the following Statement LOVE'S Srrn~nrr for the Record: FOR THE RECORD ~~I will not seek re-election. I have certainly enjoyed serving on the Council of North Palm Beach for the past two years. Many t~zings have been accomplished I am proud to have been a part of. I voted solely to the best of my ability for the interest of North Palm Beach. I love this Village and I hope it will stay a place we will always be proud to live in. I want to thank all of you on the Council for. having the privilege of working with all of you. I wish all of you continued success and interest in our Village.
