White, Mayor Walter E. Thomas, V1ce-Mayor Charles A. Cunningham, Councilman Richard E. Ross, Councilman W311iam Young, Councilman Wallis E. Schulte, for C. Robert Burns, Village Attorney Albin R. 01son, Village Manager and Village Clerk Mayor White called the meeting to order and requested the Clerk ca~1 the roll. Mayor White requested the Clerk read the minutes of a regular meeting of the Village =_ Council held April 14, 1959• On motion of Councilman Ross, seconded by Councilman Cunningham, • all members voting aye, the minutes were approved as read. The Village Manager was instructed to contact the Village Engineer to request his opinion as to the amount of depth the canals located in Plat 3 and Plat 6 should be dredged before such canals are accepted for main- tenance by the village'. The Village Manager discussed the matter of providing an electronic device to activate the village fire siren directly through the police radio system. The council took the matter under advisement for further consideration.
