VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH

In ccnrpliance with Section 9, Article III of-the Village Charter, an organizational
meeting of the Village Council was held at the North Palm Beach Country Club on April 6, 1959,
at 8:00 p:m.
The oath of office was administered Councilmen-elect Walter E. Thomas and William
• Young.
On motion of Councilman Thomas, seconded by Councilman Cunningham, all members
voting aye, Vice-Mayor Jay H. White was appointed Mayor.
On motion of Councilman Young, seconded by Councilman Ross, aL1 members voting
aye, Councilman Th~nas was appointed Vice-Mayor.
On motion of Councilman Thomas, seconded by Councilman Cunningham, all members
voting, aye, Albin R. Olson was appointed Village Treasurer.
On motion of Councilman Thomas, seconded by Councilman Ross, all members voting aye,
proposed Resolution ~j8 entitled:
A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILS~AGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH,
PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, APPOINTING CERTAIN OFFICER FOR SUCH VSIS~AGE.
was adopted.
The matter of the appointment of a camrbittee to further ex~snine the feasibility of
a beach area for the use of vi]lage residents was discussed.
Mayor White appointed all Council members a ccamnittee to investigate the matter and
named Vice-Mayor Thomas Chairman.
There being no further business to cane before the Council, on motion of Councilman.
Cunningham, secanded by Councilman Ross, all members voting aye, the meeting was adgourned
at 8;30 p.m.
