11-11-1958 VC REG-M• MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM REACH HELD AT THE NORTH PALM BEACH COUNTRY CLUB ON NOVEMBER 11, 1958 Present: Richard E. Ross, Mayor Charles A. Cunningham, Councilman Herbert A. Ross, Councilman John A. Schwencke, Councilman Albin R. Olson, Village Manager and Clerk Absent: Jay H. White, Vice-Mayor ' C. Robert Burns, Village Attorney Mayor Ross called the meeting to order and requested the Clerk call the roll. Mayor Ross requested the Clerk read the minutes of a regular meeting of the Village • Council held October 28, 1958. On motion of Councilman. Curniingham, seconded by Councilman Ross, all members voting aye, the minutes were approved as read. Mayor Ross requested the Clerk read the minutes of a special meeting of the Village Council held October 30, 1958. On motion of Councilman Ross, seconded by Councilman Cunningham, all members voting aye, the minutes were approved as read. A letter dated November 11, 1958, addressed to Mayor Ross Fran the North Palm Beach Civic Association setting out the views of the Association conce ina certain sections of the proposed ordinance was distributed to-the Council and read by Mr. Clyde Trammell, Jr., president of the Association. • Minutes November l1, 1958 Pace #3 A public discussion of the provisions of the proposed ordinance followed. ' A motion by Councilman Schwencke, seconded by Councilman Cunningham, that proposed Ordinance #35 be further amended so as to limit the assembly, precasting and precutting of concrete, steel, wood or other construction canponents as provided in subsection 14 to be added to Subsection gA of Section 9, Ordinance #20, to an area located within 200 feet of Monet Road and that proposed Ordinance #35 as so amended be enacted failed to pass with the following vote: Pzye, Councilman Schweneke, Councilman Cunningham; Nay, Mayor Ross, Councilman Ross. The matter of acquisition of a village beach area was discussed. Upon the recamnendation of Mayor Ross, the matter was set aside for council study.
