02-25-1958 VC REG-MPage MINUTES OF A REGULAR METING OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH HELD AT THE NORTH PALM BEACH COUNTRY -- CLUB FEBRUARY 25, 1958 ' Present: Richard E, Ross - Mayor Jay H. Schulle for C, Robert Burns - Village Attorney - Robert C, Tufford - Village Clerk ' Absent: Herbert A. Ross - Councilman Mayor Ross called the meeting to order and requested the Clerk call the roll, J Mayor Ross requested the Clerk read the minutes of a regular meeting of the Village Council held on February 11, 1958. On motion of Councilman Schwencke, seconded by Vice-Mayor White, all members voting aye, the minutes were approved as read. Mayor Ross reported construction had begun on the North Palm Beach _ Elementary School and that he had been advised by the Board of Public Instruction that the new school would be ready for occupancy at the start o£ the next school term in August. Mayor Ross reported construction of the Shopping Center was scheduled to begin next week and that completion was expected before November lat. (Public hearing on this matter held January 28th., 1958). Page • The Village Manager submitted five proposals received for the renewal of village insurance policies due to expire. Mayor Ross appointed Councilman Schwencke a committee to review the pro- posals received and report his recommendations to the Council at the next meeting. ' The Village Manager reported the scheduled £ire siren installation had been delayed awaiting delivery of necessary parts. The Village Manager stated there were no accounts payable for consideration at this time, Mr. Charles Bowman, 1+36 Flotilla Road, on behalf of the newly organized _ Lions Club of North Palm Beach, invited the Council to attend the Clubs Charter Night program on March 7th. • There being no further business to come before the Council, on motion o£ Councilman Cunningham, seconded by Vice-Mayor White, all members voting aye, the meeting was adjourned at 9:10 P.
