CHAPTIIt 12, ARTICLE III, OF THE VIIdAGE OF NORTH PAiM BEACH CODE BY ADDING
SECTION 12-32 CONCERNING II4E[2GENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIAN VOLUNTEERS.

FLORIA4:
Section 1. Chapter 12, Article III, of the Village of North Palm
Beach Code is hereby amended by adding Section 12-32 to read as follows:
"Section 12-32. Fyne enc .Medical Technician Volunteers. The
membership ohs tam t- sha cons st o a e- i s who are Flo
State Certified F]nergency Medical Technicians, Florida State Certified Para-
medics or duly .licensed physicians appointed by the Director of Public Safet
and who are willing to serve on a voltntary basis. Determination as to whet
~ candidates for appoinhnent are physically qualified shall be made by the
Director after a medical examination in a manner.prescribed by the Director
and approved by the Village er. Duties shall consist of riding in the
Advanced Life Support Rescue Vel cle..with the Paramedics and assisting at
emergency medical scenes and performing such other duties as prescribed by
the on duty paramedic employee. Such voluntary manbers of this twit shall
not be considered employees of the Village but shall be covered by Village
insurance programs while .engaged in performing described duties."
Section 2. 'This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon
passage.
