01-08-1998 VC PH1-MMINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA `r HELD THURSDAY, JANUARY 8, 1998 Present: Gail H. Vastola, Mayor Charles O'Meilia, Vice Mayor Larry Kelley, President Pro Tem Tom Valente, Councilman David Norris, Councilman Dennis W. Kelly, Village Manager George W. Baldwin, Village Attorney Kathleen F. Kelly, Village Clerk ROLL CALL Mayor Vastola called the meeting to order at 7:15 p.m. All members of Council were present. All members of staff were present. The purpose of the Public Hearing was to hear comments from the Public concerning Bill 906, a proposed ordinance amending Section 45-33, C-1 Neighborhood Commercial District, of Article III of Appendix C, Zoning, of the Code of Ordinances of the Village by ''`-' adding a general description of the District; amending the uses permitted and providing a maximum square footage of building floor area for an individual user. COMMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC Mort Levin, 115 Lakeshore Drive, requested that the ordinance be revised to prohibit retail businesses from being open 24 hours a day. Joe Ackerman, 515 N. Flagler Drive, West Palm Beach, representing Our Lady of Florida Monastery, restated his concern about jeopardizing midnight religious services. He stated that his client was satisfied with the ordinance as it is proposed, ADJOURNMENT With no further comments from the public to be heard, the Public Hearing adjourned at 7:24 p. m. ~~~;~~ - ~`.
