ROLL CALL
Mayor Norris called the meeting to order at 9:43 p.m. All members of Council were
present. All members of staff were present.
LAKESIDE PARK LANDSCAPING PLAN
A presentation of a landscaping design partially funded by the Kiwanis Club for Lakeside
Park was given by Chuck Yanette of Parker Yanette Design Group. This will be brought
back to the next workshop for further discussion, and affected homeowners will be notified
of the plan. This will also be published in the May newsletter.
COMPUTER STUDY BY PALM BEACH ATLANTIC COLLEGE
Discussion was held concerning the Village-wide computer study prepared by Palm
Beach Atlantic College. Tim Beckwith presented the Information Systems Plan for the
Village, and conducted a review of it with the Village Council. The Village Manager was
directed to immediately seek Requests-for-Proposals for a Consultant on the Y2K (Year
2000) compliance issue. The Information Systems Plan will be placed on the Regular
Session agenda of April 9, 1998.
ARCHITECT FEE APPROPRIATION
Discussion was held concerning adjusting the architect's fees to reflect change in
construction cost for the Public Safety facility; addition to basic services is negotiated at
$76,800, to be expended from K5710-33189 (Professional Services). Staff was directed
to continue negotiations with architect Tim Hullihan and to bring this item back to the next
Workshop on April 9, 1998.
