Kelly, Village Mana r RE: Village Council Budget Workshop of July 20, 1999 The Village of NORTH PALM BEACH 501 U.S. Highway 1 North Palm Beach, FL 33408 The Village Council met in workshop session on Tuesday, July 20, 1999, at 7:00 p.m. to review the proposed Public Safety Department budget for FY 99-00. All Council members were present; staff present were Village Manager Dennis Kelly, Finance Director Shaukat Khan, Assistant Village Manager Doug Smith, Acting Public Safety Director John Atwater, Captain George Warren, Fire Chief J.D. Anmstrong, Medic Sergeant Jack Watrous, and Volunteer Fire Fighter Chris Gunn. There were no members of the general public present. The Council entered into budget workshop discussions starting with the Law Enforcement Division of the Public Safety Department and made the changes per the attached workshop changes sheet (attached). The Council completed their workshop session at approximately 9:30 p.m. and completed all of the Public Safety Department Divisions. Make determination as to role of ISS Specialist in maintaining computers. Copy machines -staff to develop a recommended policy regarding ownership vs leasing. Employee Relations -staff directed to establish policy on how to use employee relations funding; also, develop consistent dollar amounts per department and incorporate consistent budgeting for each department. Refreshment and Supplies -develop policy on establishing refreshment and supplies account within each department and determine level of funding for each department.
