ROLL CALL
Mayor Eissey called the meeting to order at 6:10 p.m. All members of Council were present
except Councilman Norris, who was unable to attend. All members of staff were present.
SALARY SURVEY
Assistant Village Manager Doug Smith reviewed the revised HRPC compensation study (Human
Resource Performance Consultants). Consensus of Council was to make the following changes:
Delete both Village Manager and Village Clerk from Table 1
Delete the label of PT (part-time) from positions listed in Table 1
Notes listed will not be adopted with the chart at this time, but will be done separately
The meeting recessed at 6:50 p.m., and reconvened at 6:55 p.m.
As discussion continued, consensus was that Dispatcher II position not be filled at this time.
Regarding Table 5, staff was directed to conduct a further review of the recommended salary
adjustments, and to include a review of the certification pay, where applicable.
The change of job titles will be will be placed on the Regular Session agenda of
November 10, 1999, but approval of new classifications will be done separately at a later date.
The adoption of the new minimum-maximum pay ranges will also be placed on the Regular
Session agenda of November 10th, as will the approval of pay raises, effective October 1, 1999.

There being no further business to come before the Council, the meeting adjourned at 7:35 p.m.
