AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA,
LIMITING THE TERMS FOR WHICH A MEMBER OF THE.VILLAGE COUNCIL MAY
SERVE CONSECUTIVELY IN THE OFFICE OF MAYOR OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH
PALM BEACH.
' BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the Village of North Palm Beach Code is
hereby amended by adding thereto a new subsection to be numbered
Section 2-18 (c) to read as follows:
Section 2-18 (c).
Terms of Mayor. No person may serve more than one 1-year
term as Mayor of the Village of North Palm Beach. A person who
has served as Mayor of the Village of North Palm Beach for one
term shall not serve as Mayor during the following Council year,
but beginning one year after termination of his one year term as
Mayor of the Village of North Palm Beach, he may again serve as
' Mayor for a period not to exceed one year.
Section 2. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately
upon passage.
