• A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH
PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, ESTABLISHING A PERMIT FEE AND PERMIT
RENEWAL FEE FOR PORTABLE STORAGE CONTAINERS AND ROLL-OFF
CONSTRUCTION DUMPSTERS; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, through the adoption of Ordinance 2011-09, the Village Council adopted a new
Section 45-36(U) of the Village Code prescribing standards and regulations for the use of portable
storage containers and roll-offconstruction dumpsters on properties located throughout the Village; and
WHEREAS, Section 45-36(U) of the Village Code requires a permit for portable storage containers
and roll-off construction dumpsters located on any property for more than seven consecutive
calendar days; and
WHEREAS, Section 45-36(U) further requires that the applicant for a permit or permit renewal pay
an administrative fee, provided, however, that there is no fee for aroll-off construction dumpster
permit if the occupant of the property possesses an active building permit for improvements to the
property on which the dumpster is located and ongoing construction continues on the property; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council wishes to establish an administrative fee applicable to applications
for permits and permit renewals for portable storage containers and roll-offconstruction dumpsters.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council authorizes the Community Development Department to charge
the following fees in connection with applications for permits and permit renewals pursuant to
Section 45-36(U) of the Village Code of Ordinances:
Permit fee: $25.00
Permit renewal fee: $10.00
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
