2011-24 Public Safety Patrol Vehicles PurchaseRESOLUTION 2011-24 • A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF TWO 2011 DODGE CHARGER UNMARKED PATROL VEHICLES AND ONE 2011 FORD CROWN VICTORIA POLICE INTERCEPTOR MARKED PATROL VEHICLE PURSUANT TO STATE CONTRACT NO. 071-000-11-1; DECLARING SPECIFIED PUBLIC SAFETY VEHICLES AS SURPLUS PROPERTY AND AUTHORIZING THEIR DISPOSAL; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the Public Safety Department is requesting the purchase of two unmarked and one marked patrol vehicles as provided for in the current fiscal year budget; and WHEREAS, Village Administration recommends the purchase of two four door 2011 Dodge Charger unmarked patrol vehicles and one 2011 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor marked patrol vehicle, fully equipped in accordance with Village specifications, pursuant to State Contract No. 071-000-11-1 executed by the Florida Department of Management Services; and WHEREAS, the Village Council wishes to declare certain existing public safety vehicles as surplus property and authorize their disposal; and WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the adoption of this Resolution is in the best interests of the Village and its residents. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows: Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein. Section 2. The Village Council hereby approves the purchase of two 2011 Dodge Charger unmarked patrol vehicles (Commodity Code No. 071-112 -Police Pursuit Vehicle, Unmarked - Line 2) and one 2011 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor marked patrol vehicle (Commodity Code No. 071-111 -Police Pursuit Automobile, Marked -Line 4), all equipped to Village specifications, from Garber Ford Mercury, Inc. pursuant State Contract No. 071-000-11-1 executed by the Florida Department of Management Services. Section 3. The total amount expended for these new vehicles shall not exceed $72,187.00 ($44,084.00 for the unmarked patrol vehicles and $28,103.00 for the marked patrol vehicle), with funds being expended from Village Account #A5711-66410 (Police Automotive Capital). Section 4.
